Job Summary
The Design Manager is responsible for championing the design process within our design studio and ensuring a superior customer experience for our targeted clients. This involves day-to-day resourcing and scheduling, ensuring that the appropriate resources are assigned to meet the needs of each client project, on time and on budget. The Design Manager provides support to the team and a point of call to funnel information between all the parties involved, ensuring that workflows are efficient throughout the operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Meeting Annual Net Revenue by managing production phases of design under RIBA & AIA plan in water feature opportunities that can lead to the future sale of products and design services via the design community.
- Schedule resources to meet future demand, improve worker productivity, grade your subordinates, assess training needs, and be a very competent supervisor of people.
- Be a company leader, creating an environment where our creative work and teams thrive.
- Efficient Operations – set design quality standards & manage compliance, reduce time to design all information, and report on profitability, utilization rates, and budgets vs actuals.
Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, Architectural, or Design
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with management or equivalent responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of design and production software, including Adobe CC and Autodesk
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with organizational and time management skills.
- An understanding of or hands-on experience with a variety of creative disciplines
- Proven leadership skills and ability to meet deadlines under stressful environments and motivate a team with a wide range of fields
- Highly responsible and self-motivated individual with a positive, calm demeanour and sense of urgency to meet deadlines and track multiple deliverables.
Salary: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
