Inspired by the traditional Qatari heritage and architecture, Msheireb in Downtown Doha aims to preserve historic downtown Doha as well as become a new social and civic hub in the city Centre – a place where it is enjoyable to live, work, shop, visit, and spend time with family and friends.
The Msheireb Downtown project has five phases that comprise of residential buildings, corporate offices, a hotel and state-of-the-art retail spaces with multiple intriguing splash pads. These water features were designed with the vision of creating a gathering space for visitors and residents. Custom sequencing pop nozzles were installed to the splash pads to produce a gentle mesmerizing effect with interchanging shapes and heights using timed activation and water pressure.
