The 100,000 square feet North Plaza located between Globe Life Field and Texas Live! acts as the north entrance to Globe Life Field. It opened to the public on August 2018 and was designed to create an interactive experience for Texas Rangers fans while paying homage to Texas Rangers and MLB great Nolan Ryan.
The plaza is approximately 2 1/2 acres and contains several unique elements, including two-sided videoboards, six media towers and an interactive water feature 60’6″ in diameter – the same distance as from the pitching mound to home plate on a regular size baseball diamond.
Crystal’s angled RGBW Choreoswitches shoot towards the central Rangers “T” logo in colorful sequenced water shows from the perimeter, while the center of the fountain is equipped with fog jets that are lit with Crystal’s RGBW ring lights. All parts were customized to meet FACTA’s C250 vehicular drive-over rating.
